Deals and files
Organize deals by stage and know where every file lives.
Every deal keeps its own files, its own sessions, and its own deal memory, separate from every other deal.
Organize deals by stage
Deals live in the sidebar, grouped by stage: Screening, Underwriting, Closing, Asset Management, and Graveyard. Drag a deal between stages, or use its menu (Rename, Move to phase, Archive).
Archiving is separate from stage: an archived deal disappears from the stage columns and from search until you restore it from the Archived section.
The first time you open a deal, it takes about a minute to get ready. Search deals with the box at the top of the sidebar or the command palette (⌘K / Ctrl+K).
Where files live
Every deal has the same three folders:
| Folder | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Library | Source documents. The terminal files uploads here automatically and works from them without changing them. |
| Drafts | Work in progress. New terminal work lands here as new files. |
| Outputs | Finished deliverables. /deal:finalize snapshots the current package into a dated folder as the version of record. |
Alongside the folders, each deal carries its Output Formats: the house templates the terminal works from copies of, so drafted work follows your format. See Output Formats.
Everything a file needs (previews, version history, trash, downloads) is in the Workbench.
Portfolio
Admins get Portfolio: a view across every deal in your organization, with its own sessions and its own files, separate from any single deal. The same admins also manage firm context and the model provider setting.
Links
Every deal and every session has its own link. Bookmark one or paste it to a teammate; it opens directly to that deal or conversation.
Next steps
- Sessions: how conversations keep working, reopen, and share what they learn.
- The Workbench: uploads, previews, version history, and trash.
- Output Formats: attach your house templates so drafts follow your format.
