Recover files
Bring back an earlier version of a file, or a file you deleted, for up to 30 days.
Every save of every file, whether by you, a teammate, or the terminal, keeps a version for 30 days. Deleted files wait in trash for up to 30 days too. Both are recoverable from the Workbench.
Bring back an earlier version
Open Version history from a file's row menu in the Workbench. Each version is listed with its size, and the live copy carries a "Current" badge. Three actions per version:
- Open: opens that version in the preview, view-only, so you can check it before deciding anything.
- Download: saves that version locally.
- Restore: brings that version back as the new current copy. The copy you're replacing stays in the history too.
Bring back a deleted file
Move to trash removes a file from its folder, with an Undo button for immediate reversal. Trashed files sit in the Trash row at the bottom of the file tree for up to 30 days. From there, Restore puts a file back, and Delete permanently asks for confirmation before removing it for good.
Only people can restore or delete
Restore and permanent deletion belong to people, never to the terminal. The terminal can't restore a version, recover a file from trash, or permanently delete one.
